Hello! What had been happening since week three?

First day, the topics we learned about were deaf culture, language, and community. In the afternoon, Birthe Astha Peterson came to talk about deaf people in Greenland. There are 55,000 people, but only 50 are deaf. They don’t live nearby. We were very interested about her project and asked a lot of questions.

Second day, Genocide, linguicide, and ethnocide were the topic of the day. After a long discussion, we played volleyball by nightfall.

Third day, we discussed about project management. We learned how to plan a project with details. After dinner, we went swimming.

Fourth day, Hilde Haualand from Norway came to talk about transnational, deafstory, and anthropology. We had a good discussion.

Fifth day, Simon Bak came to teach us how to use photoshop. We learned how to edit pictures. At night, we had a party.

Sixth day, it was a beautiful day. We went out walking or biking.

Seventh day, we were looking forward to a new member of Frontrunners. One of the 4 people who couldn’t come because of the problem with visa now could come. He is from Albania. His name is Florjan. We gave him a warm welcome. We were happy.
